If you do misplace the link connectors there's a way out of it but it's tedious and requires your friends to do it for you. I wasn't big on the gold until i put it on my poor old damaged Specialized and it's still looks dilapidated but the chain distract on-lookers on the public transit. The hardest part was taking off my chain for some reason I forgot how since I never had to remove one or put one on, I wasn't even sure if it would be the right size. I had to remove 5 links to make it fit otherwise you get that stupid chain skipping syndrome when you push on the pedal hard and fast and it feels like your skipping gears. but I used a link remover tool. I don't think you will have to go through that if you know your measurements. Again I had my friends do this for me but it was still a pain. So if this thing does NOT break in a month I will be satisfied.
