I got my first '10-speed' racing style bicycle in 1972 and bikes have been my primary form of transportation since, including commuting to work, leisure rides and cycling vacations. Needless to say, I have gone through a lot of tires and inner tubes in that time. My wife and I currently have about ten bikes that we ride at least occasionally and another ten vintage bikes 鈥榝or show'. Except in case of emergencies, I stopped repairing inner tubes some time ago, thinking it is not worth the risk of a repeat flat when I am miles from home. I normally buy inner tubes in bulk at perhaps half the price of these from Hycline, but Amazon Vine discourages reviewers from focusing on price since the selling price can vary over time, so I try to focus on quality. These tubes seem to be similar in quality to the others in my stock, some of which are shown in the attached photo. They are heavier and thicker than some but I now prefer tires that are much more puncture resistant, with tubes to match. It gets old repairing flats miles from home, particularly in very cold or very hot weather!
