Hycline 20" / 26" high-volume off-Road fat mountain bike tire and E-bike tire

Hycline's Code: Bones is an all-terrain fat bike tire designed for balancing off-road challenges and city roads. With its "Bones" tread pattern, this tire excels in off-road performance, providing exceptional puncture resistance and grip to conquer rocky terrain, sandy deserts, and snowy landscapes. In urban settings, the extended side tread ensures safety during turns. It offers nimble handling for a smooth ride through city streets.

Symmetrical dual center tread design improves braking stability and enhances cornering traction with increased lateral bite edges. The wide, sloping, blocky knob tread pattern cuts through loose, rocky terrain while maintaining low rolling resistance. These tires feature high-quality rubber and puncture-resistant technology, and they allow for greater load-carrying capacity and durability. The single tire can withstand up to 266 lbs and has a driving range of up to 2000 miles.

Whether you're commuting in the city or riding off-road, the Hycline fat tires provide e-bike and trike riders with maximum all-weather performance.

Great traction -- come folded in quarters in the box!

Quality tires are good value for the cost. They have a good amount of thick tread on the crown, which is where most of my wear always occurs. They also have good traction lugs on the outer edges to get you through the mud. The sidewalls did not mention any puncture resistant aids, like Kevlar bands -- wish they had this. It's a little weird to get the box and open it up to folded tires! So I just had to unfold them and let them set for a few days to regain their normal shape. They do stink a bit because they are new rubber, but this goes away quickly. This set came with two thick tubes as well.

40 PSI ?!? Wooo hooo!

When it comes to e-bikes, rolling resistance is inversely proportional to range. The more resistance, the less range. The quickest way to decrease rolling resistance is to increase tire pressure. This is why road bike tires typically run over 100 psi. Most 20x4 fat tires max out at 30 psi, some go as high as 35, but these go all the way to 40, which is awesome! The tread pattern is perfect, offering MUCH better road traction than plain-old knobby tires (talking night and day, here), while at the same time not giving up very much in terms of trail performance at all. These are what I consider great "50/50" tires, in that they are perfect for both trail and street use equally. If you're still running the stock knobby tires, these will be a welcome upgrade. They aren't light, but you can run them pretty hard, so range is quite good. If you've ever installed a bike tire before, it's a piece of cake, you don't even need the included tire levers...I've never needed anything but my bare hands to change a bike tire...but they're there if you need them, which is nice. In all, these are a super upgrade from stock, and at around $100 for the pair, this is one of the best bang-for-the-buck upgrades you can do on your bike. Works great on my Tesway e-bike, and I highly recommend them. 5 stars!

I think these should suit my needs well

UPDATED REVIEW AFTER INSTALLING:I am absolutely impressed at the smoothness considering the larger gaps between the major treads and am highly confident the tires withstand road abuse and debris in general. I am still going to keep using anti-flat of the Red and Black package variety. Installing and inflating them is pretty easy if you keep the wheels off the bike, allowing them to fill horizontally, the bead sits very nicely. The noise they make is far cooler than the stock 'knobby' ones and when accelerating, it kind of makes me think light cycle. The noise my rear hub motor makes combined with these is very fun to hear, at least from a riding perspective. So far I've tried them at 32 rear 36 front and have had minimal issues with not having a rear shock, though I'm considering trying 36 rear 38 front next. I might even try 40/40 as they are intended for road.HUGE Bonus is that on roads under construction, the edges of roads being all grounded up they don't feel floaty or 'false flat' like stock knobby tires tend to. They do tend to feel floaty on loose gravel, but that's expected. Sand covered roadways is my next test. Another great bonus is on very torn up asphalt parking lots they feel ultra smooth, though that may change when I increase the pressure.Only thing I kind of dislike is the treads are so thick they basically don't fit in my original fenders, but I'll be mostly resolving that with some German made mud flap thingies that go on the body bars of the bike.Once I have more time, I'll find a nice quiet road to record a video of the tires noise. I may also wait to do a video when the mud flaps arrive to give an idea of how to resolve fender size issues.ORIGINAL REVIEW:They measure out correctly as 20x4, but I haven't installed these just yet as my current tires still have a few miles left in them, but I'm sure these should grip the road nicely. They appear to have good thickness in the treads, though I'm concerned with the large gaps between some of the treads making for some easy space for a large nail or debris to puncture the tire. From what I've experienced with tires like these, the gaps should give a decently smooth ride while adding just a little bit of noise while riding which is something I actually like.Likes/Pros 鈥?Material Quality: Durable and confidence-inspiring. 鈥?Tire Performance: Good grip on roads, sand, and gravel.Dislikes/Cons 鈥?Potential Risk: Larger gaps may be vulnerable to sharp debris.
