I have tried a bunch of different tires and tread patterns on my snow bike, and always come back to this tread pattern, it just works so well on different surfaces, rolls smoothly on asphalt with minimal noise, sticks like Velcro in the snow, and even works excellent in slush, mud and sand, the tire has more of a flat profile which really helps with the surface contact patch area especially in the snow, I am hoping this tire lasts a long time and wears slowly, so far after a few rides it still looks new.It does have a few downsides, it doesn't have big side knobs so this tire not the best for banking flat corners fast, and I'm not really a fan of the white side walls it just doesn't go with my bike, this tire also has some weight to it, maybe because it has a folding bead, it is somehow heavier than my previous tire that has a wire bead (same tread pattern though), this tire seems to have moderately strong sidewalls for a standard casing. This tire works fine with a tube and I had no issues mounting it up, freshly mounted on an 80 mm rim the side-wall to side-wall measures around 3.8 inches, side knob to side knob is around 3.3 inches, I expect this tire will expand some more with use, on a 100 mm rim it gets an even more flat profile and measures to it's true size 4.0 inches (side wall to sidewall).Overall I recommend, 26x4.0 size, feels like a decently tough/strong tire with good sidewalls, a bit heavy, the one I received runs straight with no wobbles, white side-walls, was easy to mount on my 80 mm and 100 mm rims using a tube
