NUTT Electric Bicycle 2-PIN Power-off Hydraulic Disc Brak main display picture

Just a simple installation makes for the safest and most reliable braking!

NUTT hydraulic e-brake system is a high-end braking system that provides more stopping power, is more durable, faster/more reliable, and predictable pad retraction when releasing the brakes, and is virtually maintenance free

Hydraulic brakes have better transmission efficiency and are more durable than traditional mechanical brakes. With the E-bike hydraulic brake set, with dual piston brakes, no matter how fast the bike is going, how steep the terrain is, or how wet the environment is, a gentle pull on the brake lever will stop the bike immediately.

The bike hydraulic brake set adopts the left front and right rear braking method, fitting most Americans' habits. The length of the front oil pipe is 53.1 inches (1350mm), the rear oil pipe is 82.7 inches (2100mm), and the disc is optional 160mm or 180mm.

Feature:

  • Left front and right rear braking. The full set contains two discs
  • High power and controllable braking system
  • High-strength aluminum alloy brake lever/ Cast Aluminum Bracket
  • Dual piston brakes, High Heat Dispersion & Heat Tolerance
  • Simpler to repair and maintain.
  • 160mm PM/IS with universal mounting adapter (T25 Torx Wrench &
    5 mm Hex Key Wrench)
  • Used for E-bike models with caliper left side mounting.

It has some smooth stopping power

I have been using this brake set up for a little less than a month and it performs just as well as some of the pricier models that I have on my other bikes. It has a smooth build up of breaking power and it you want to lock it down just squeeze. I do a lot of long downhill riding, nothing crazy, as I live in the foothills so coming and going require uphill and downhill riding, I never experienced fading with this brake set up and it was very easy to swap out the mechanical for the hydraulic set up. Crimping the line at the lever was easy, items were bagged with instructions. If you dont feel comfortable crimping hydraulic lines take it to the bike shop. Every part they used was quality, there was nothing in the build that made me question my safety. These are great brakes for the cost, I would not hesitate telling a friend.

Great stopping power

These brakes work exceptionally well, however the wiring on the master cylinders must be swapped to shut the motor off when the brakes are applied. The Zoom 3 pin models switch on pins 2 and 3 and the Bafang only works on pins 1 and 2. The white wire from the master cylinder must be crossed over the the red wire to the connector to work with the Bafang wiring harness. If you are handy with a soldering iron and shrink tubing it is an easy fix. Otherwise, you might want to adjust your expectations.

Good for Ebike

Great kit for the rear wheels but you need to source the disk, I use the 180mm which works fine. I like the connective fluid cable and the lever comes equipped with the switch to cut power off. Easy to install hardest part is cleaning up the cable runs. Now I will order the front and I will have complete hydraulic brakes.

Must have upgrade for e-bike.

If you have an ebike with mechanical brakes this is a must have upgrade. The handle itself is very nice built and has electric cutoff built in. You will need a brake barb tool to cut the hose to size. While it does come pre-filled I also recommend a bleed kit to make your life a lot easier when installing. The caliper uses MT200 pads which are very widely available. If you have mechanical brakes on an ebike you need to invest in hydraulic immediately. After using them for a few rides it's crazy hydraulics aren't stock. I had previously tried going the DIY route with standalone cutoff switches and never had success. Having them built in is worth it plus it's a cleaner look. They do offer a single brake (rear) and the dual brake option. I do wish the single option was the front brake since this is where the majority of your braking it done. You can get around this by mounting on the front but your lever would either be on the right side (normally left for front) or you would need to flip it which would put the sensor on the top and make it visible. I have used quad piston kit on my ebike as well and didn't notice much change in pull effort or stopping power compared to this. Both kits perform and cost about the same. Either are a massive upgrade over mechanical. If you are looking to only upgrade one I definitely recommend looking for a front kit.

What should I consider when choosing bicycle tires?

When selecting bicycle tires, consider the size, tread, width, durability, pressure, weight, and riding style. Choose a tire that fits your bike's wheels, is appropriate for the terrain you'll be riding on, is durable and puncture-resistant, can handle the recommended tire pressure, and matches your riding style.

What size bike tire do I need for my bike?

To determine the size of tire you need for your bike, you can look at the sidewall of your current wheel, which will have the tire size printed on it. The size will typically be expressed as a combination of numbers and letters, such as "700x23c" or "26x2.0". The first number refers to the diameter of the tire, which is measured in millimeters for metric sizes (e.g. 700) or inches for imperial sizes (e.g. 26). The second number refers to the width of the tire, also measured in millimeters or inches. The letter at the end indicates the type of tire (e.g. "c" for clincher)
If you're unsure about what size tires to get or have any doubts about compatibility, you can consult your bike's owner's manual or contact the manufacturer for advice.
